Specific athlete and ensure that Sportrack Network professionals and athlete managers are competent, certified people, with a lot of experience and trained to exercise their functions in the Sportrack Network.

2. Career Management with the Sportrack Network
The Elite Athlete Career Management challenge is complex.
At the base of this challenge is a clear difference in perception between the athlete’s competitive present and his real abilities to continue on a difficult path, which will above all, depending on the team and the professionals that they are lucky or unlucky to encounter throughout their career. In addition to the sporting challenge, there is the context of each athlete’s specific life, determining factors for motivation and dedication to continue investing in a path with an uncertain future, like so many others, but with higher risk, given its characteristics of rapid or immediate wear and tear.
Sportrack Network Career Management solutions were carefully developed with 3 objectives:
- Putting the Athlete at the center of decision making;
- Decrease the risk of decision, based on the experience of many years, of many former athletes;
- Increase the competitive age of the athlete in a comprehensive and accompanied manner, defining joint objectives of competence and competitiveness in double and post-career careers.

3. Sponsors, Donations and Social Responsibility
Framing
The fact that the Sportrack Network is being developed by the MBUintelligence, Lda. company does not mean that the Sportrack Network will be sustainable from an economic and financial point of view due to 2 levels of risk. It exists in the Sportrack Network, since its beginning, a great culture of solidarity, unity and social responsibility, elements without which it would have been impossible to get here. The characteristics of the constitution of the Sportrack Network also show signs of Mutuality and Association to a given Cause.
- Risk 1 – A support service for High Performance Athletes with the characteristics of the Sportrack Network presupposes a considerable infrastructure and a high level of investment. Future revenues may not be able to recover that investment.
- Risk 2 – Funds released by the network’s autonomous means of financing may not be sufficient if there is no significant consumption of services (Sportrack Network – Career Management Packs).
The Sportrack Network has been working for about 8 years in an informal and disorganized way. The focus on the athlete is maintained and will remain, always, independently and oblivious to conflicts of interest that emerge safely from a service with these characteristics of long-term monitoring of athletes, regardless of the clubs with which they have professional relationships.
Another critical success factor is the ambition and the current context for athletes to want/ need/ identify the need to be influenced and helped by the Sportrack Network, which will dictate the success of its use.
The investment in the network made until today, was made in an economically disinterested way maintaining the best possible level of service in each case we help, with our limitations as professionals and with the restrictions of the context of each athlete , but also with the weakness of being too disorganized processes, between athletes and network professionals, which had little follow-up over time. The Sportrack Network is prepared to accompany athletes during their sports and post-career career. Sportrack Network is to extend the full competitiveness of Sportrack Network Qualified Athletes, who will have a clear identification on the Network. We will maintain a continuous assessment of qualified Sportrack Network Athletes in 3 areas:
- Technical Sports Competence
- Integral Behavioral Competence
- Double Competences
The insignificance of the athlete as an independent worker in most cases, the lack of specific social security, the difficulty of managing sports insurance for the Elite Athlete and the characteristics of the High Competition Athlete Career in Portugal, are other risk factors that threaten the way the network will be interpreted.
For these and other reasons we ask for donations from individuals or public or private companies that only support the development of the Sportrack Network, as a platform to attract ”the voice“ of a Sports Career in High Competition that is little valued by portuguese society. money raised in the form of donations, requires no commercial counterparts or associated visibility. Sportrack Network guarantees that the donations’ money will be used to apply the principles of creating the network to the technology, so that it promotes the behavior and rules with which we launched this project and which we will not abdicate in the future. We will always be an Informal Support Network for Elite Athletes.
4. Ways of Funding the Sportrack Network
The Development of High Competition Career is too complex. One of the variables that has become constant over the years is that it seems that Individual Sport has degenerated into Team Sport and Collective Sport has degenerated into Individual Sport, such the asymmetry of salaries and risks inherent in the practice of high income.
Sponsors Sportrack Network may define the level of sponsorship (amount of funding), the athletes they want to sponsor or the sports of their choice. Depending on the number of athletes and their sporting level, sponsors may also define other funding criteria and have almost automatic monitoring of the distribution of money on the Sportrack Network.
Sportrack Network promoters are available to identify direct funding on the Sportrack Network.
